3 Reasons Why a Gluten-free Bread Machine is Better than Buying Bread at a Store

You’re on a gluten-free diet. Or you’re allergic to wheat. Whatever the reason you stay away from wheat or gluten containing products, it’s probably a good one. And if not followed, most likely there are some pretty harsh consequences. One of my cousins had severe headaches for years. The doctors could not figure it out. The moment she stopped eating foods that contain gluten, the headaches stopped. Now food shopping with her has become a very long, very tedious process. For one she is limited on where she can go. She’s been to a bunch of ‘specialty’ health food stores and has spent a fortune! One time she bought a product that was supposedly wheat free, but it turns out there was a misprint on the label. Well they eventually recalled that item, but it was way too late by the time she did; the damage had already been done. She had a massive headache for days and was incredibly miserable.
Sound familiar? This might have been you, or maybe someone you know. A slip up at a friend’s house because you forgot to ask the right questions. Kissing a loved one after they’ve had a mouthful of gluten. Needless suffering that could have easily been prevented.
This is why we opt for making our own food, in our own home. We know what’s going in it. We know that it’s healthy for you. We know it is gluten-free.
So here are 3 reasons why buying a gluten-free bread machine is the best route to go.
1) No more distrust or skepticism when it comes to eating bread. You never have to fear a misprint on the label like my poor cousin did. Don’t think this could happen to you? Think again. Every week there are literally dozens of food products that get recalled all because a label didn’t mention that the product contains wheat, peanuts or another allergenic product. You can see the USDA website for yourself, they provide all of that information.
Bread from a gluten-free bread machine just tastes better.
2) Really, the store bought stuff can be like eating a brick. Having to constantly scrutinize what you eat is hard enough without having to sacrifice your taste buds to the greater good of feeling healthy. Well there is good news. You can have your (gluten-free) cake and eat it too. There are so many delicious recipes it is such a treat to try something new and really, really enjoy it.
3) Baking your own bread is fun! And easier than you might imagine.
The Gluten-Free bread machine has made the process of kneading and baking your own bread incredibly simple.
Many come with recipe books and their own gluten-free setting. My cousin will invite me over sometimes and we will just spend an afternoon baking a few loaves of bread (we actually spend the afternoon playing cards and having a few drinks, while the gluten-free bread machine does all the work, but don’t tell our spouses that!).
So with all of the processed foods out there it just makes more sense to bake your own bread. It is healthy, delicious and the family loves it too! If you live with family or friends that do not have to eat gluten-free products they will enjoy your homemade bread. Tell them, satisfaction guaranteed.
So what does it take to find the perfect bread machine? We’ve found out for you what it takes to be the best gluten-free bread machine.
