Hi there, I’m Jan, a Gluten-free Mommy of three. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. The transition to a 100% gluten-free diet has not been an easy one for my family and I, but we have endured and have come out healthier as a result. Tip: We found many ways to still enjoy the foods we love, but we found gluten-free substitutes instead. One of those foods we all love so much is bread. For the 1st 2 years we bought bread from the store that was 2 towns over. What a pain! On a busy day it took hours to get there and back and all for bread that none of us really even enjoyed. We would try to and believe me, we put in the effort to get used it.

Then one day I was visiting my cousin, who is also gluten-free and she had just bought a Zojirushi BBCCX20. I’ve never really seen a bread machine before that. She had just got done baking a loaf and her house smelled so yummy and delicious! But silly me, I immediately assumed that it contained gluten. How could something that smelled so good be a gluten-free bread? After all, none of the brands I tried at the store were very good, right?

And that’s when my cousin brought out a couple of slices for me to try. Wow! I couldn’t believe my taste buds! From that moment on I set out to get my own bread machine, but I wanted to know more about them first. Which ones were the best for making gluten-free bread? I had to know.
